From 2008 to 2013 I used this blog to reflect on observations from my work with young people and parents. I am no longer adding to the blog but have left it online as an archive in case any of the content is useful to anyone who comes across it. If you’re curious about my current work I can be reached through the contact form.
Thanks for visiting, and sorry about the weird ads – I don’t choose them or benefit from them – they are posted by wordpress on all free sites.

WOW! What an inspiring blog to stumble across..
I am a homeschooling mother in South Africa teaching my daughter, her two nieces and a child who has recently quit ‘traditional’school to join us. It has shocked me how much unschooling was needed to peel away the layers that being at school has imposed on her. Six weeks after starting she is a different child compared to the rebellious, bored and low self esteemed child she was. She has taken ownership of her learning as opposed to being told what to learn and this has caused such a transformation in her!
I would love a copy of your book when you are done! Best of luck with it and blessings from across the big blue…
